Welcome to the Victoria University R User Group!
This is the home of the Victoria University R User group which being hosted by one of our members, Dr. Stephen Hartley.
Our group aims to support and promote the use of the statistical software package "R".
This is a freely available package based around the S package. Please refer to the R website for more details on its history and instructions for download.
R has many benefits besides being FREE, although it can be a little daunting to begin with especially if you are not familiar with command line driven applications.
With this in mind, two of Stephen's students, Marc Hasenbank and Jim Barritt decided to canvas interest among fellow students and staff at the university for a user group.
Whats New:
- List of R "Specialists" - people who will answer questions about R.
- Session: "Things about the mean", 13th December 2006 - 1-3pm KK508
